As long as it gives you the warnings, which it does for me regardless what channel it's in, who cares what the number is?

runewood, right click the "general" tab, goto "join channels" and check world defence, when you load wow up again it will be channel 3

Make sure you actually typed it correctly. WorldDefense is definately NOT a talk channel; it only broadcasts under attack messages like "Stonard is under attack!"
