looking over his website its bragging he never voted to regulate the internet and guns among other things, gun control is fairly important to me, and while i dunno anything specific about internet regulations...id think that some is probly a really good idea

Mind you that in order to take off restrictions it would most likely have to go through Congress first, a democratic congress at that. So if he was able to make it a truly free market there would have to be a lot of people that support him. And if all goes really bad, impeach him.

Agreed. Have you noticed how Clinton and Obama aren't saying that they will pull troops out in a year. Hm, maybe it isn't possible at this point to pull the troops out quickly. If I recall, it isn't even possible to pull all the troops out in a year even if they started the day they took office. Even if we were able to their society would fall into a civil war (which I think will happen no matter what). I want them to start pulling out of Iraq soon because I'm worried that if they don't they might consider opening up the draft. The draft = bad. I, and probably most of the Americans here, are the perfect age to be drafted. And I'd be willing to guess that you don't want to be drafted.

I completely agree that immediate troop withdrawl isnt do-able or desireable.
I seriously doubt Hillary or Obama will really do anything of the sort, Edwards might have, but I really doubt Hillary or Obama will.
In terms of propping up Iraq into anything resembling a functioning society (not even shooting as high as a democracy) I have no idea what to do, but thats ok because nobody in power does either

To lava: I oppose the draft, but don't personally feel threatened. when it comes time for me to register I will have no problem establishing conscientious objector status. Also really doubt there will be a draft, if there is it will be the same as vietnam era, completely ripping apart America.
Theres polarization now, but the draft will make it inescapably real to so many young people who will suddenly take a greater interest in the affairs of state :p .

And I saw obama today, it was fucking crazy. It was at TC williams highschool (remember the titans anyone? 5 mins from mi casa)
I had a ticket but they filled the auditorium to capacity before i could get in. So i got shuffled into the overflow room with my friends. We were really less than happy because we waited for a long time and it seemed like all that was gonna happen was we could hear him over the PA

Then he comes in and the place went nuts. I was three rows off the stage, so i had a perfect view. He apologized for the overflow but wanted everyone to hear him speak etc. Then he did the walk past the front row. Me and my friends hopped over the row in front of us. My friend shook his hand but my arm was too short :*(

It was pretty cool, whether or not you agree with him or would vote for him. I enjoy politics, so id be pretty excited to shake like huckabees hand and i cant stand him :/

The iraq war. Not like every member of the house but 2 voted to fund the war. There was a major attack on US soil. Thousands of Shittes were being murdured by Saddam. It was our job as a worldpower to do something about it.
