Nope, can't make it. Too much happening this Saturday. I'll just leave this here in compensation.

That's when sport was a sport, and groovin' was groovin'. And dancing meant everything. We were young and we were improvin'. Laugin' laughin' with our friends. Holding hands meant something, baby. Outside the club, cherry bomb where our hearts were really thumpin'. Say yeah yeah yeah.

lol @ the goatse part. ;)

Do you remember the first iteration of Dragonade? Cruddy primitive form of weapon dropping that had the side effect of causing you to randomly "drop" your pistol when you respawned. And then there were the posted screenshots showing this bug from the Pits server I think. And we (namely I) freaked out and that ended up resulting in horrible relations between "us" and "them." Oh what joyous and gay times those proved to be. :P

Kirby's final smash rules. He spawns a cook pot and cooks all the players, damaging them a shit ton, and then a bunch of items and food pop out of the cook pot all around you while everyone else is trying to recover from being thrown.

k didnt know that

And besides, having your game work with the 360 controller isn't the only step you must take to put/port a game on the 360, or any console for that matter.

Vlokt! Will you be picking up Brawl? We must play together if you do. And Vix!

Of course.

In Crysis they make it so u can use your Xbox controller on your PC yet they don't realease the game for Xbox Mhhhm

Having your game work with the 360 controller is one of the requirements for releasing under the Games for Windows platform.

A lot of the servers are either not using Punkbuster or are using a wrong config for it. Patch 1.2 which will be out soon addresses that with a correct config and improved internal cheat detection. But it would help if Punkbuster would support 64-bit mode already.

I want the woman or the black guy to win, more interesting!

You know McCain is 71 or 72, which would make him the oldest president coming in to office, right?

Woman, Black Guy, or Really Old Guy.

But that's another thing to think about with McCain. His older age puts him in a higher risk of (God forbid) dying in office. So you have to consider who he puts for VP on his ticket. It's a dark thought, but a valid one.

Also, Hilary Clinton has taking $5 million out of her personal account and put it into her campaign. Why does this matter? Because when she was questioned about where the money came from she responded, "From my account." This leads to me to wonder, If she has been raising so much money, why does she have to put $5 million of her own into her campaign? Likely this means that she is running out of money, so she'll probably drop out.

I'm not a big fan of Clinton myself, but...

That is some incredibly wishful thinking there. She holds the most delegates. Why would she drop out? As long as she can keep putting ANY fund into her campaign, she can hold the lead and win out in the end.

Obama counter-stated Clinton's announcement by urging his supporters to match the amount in donations.

It's still anyone's game. And it's going to remain that way until the very end.

For me personally, I like McCain. I don't agree with all of his policies, but he's not too far to the right that I distaste them all. For example: his policy on immigration, I can agree with. Being liberal, that probably makes other Conservatives hate him because I can like him, but his policy isn't that bad if you break it down. He wants to protect the borders first and foremost (right answer) but award amnesty for all the illegal immigrants in the country who have not committed any felonies (left answer). This is an example of playing nice to both sides, so people in the middle (which there are more of over anything) like him, but the extremes on either side will have mixed feelings, if not totally distaste him.

Obama is great because he's completely different from the normal government that has been going on since the Regen revolution. His inexperience is what I appeal to, because the way I see it, the normal has failed, so the abnormal is the next logical choice. I think with him he won't be polluted with the usual politics when making his decisions, and that's a good thing. But if he wins, he better fill his cabinet with some good, experienced people, because he has the potential of making equally dumb answers as well.

Some of Clinton's ideas just scare the shit out of me.

Obama Vs McCain => Obama vote
Clinton Vs McCain => McCain vote

I am registered democrat.

Shameless promotion, I know. Forgive me.

But if anyone is interested in reading up on one of the projects I've been devoted to recently, check out the new Wiisis mini-page! It's a modification for Crysis that lets you play the game with the Nintendo Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. It has tons of cool features and gesture controls, and it's a Hell of a lot of fun to play.

There's a demonstration video of it (narrated by me, so that at least makes it worth watching) here.

Merry Christmas!

Other C&C Games / Re: Renegade Sequel
« on: December 17, 2007, 08:34:26 AM »
You know the gameplay is nothing like Renegade, right? It's literally BF2 with tiberium. I'm not commenting on how fun the game will be; I'm just saying calling it a sequel to Renegade isn't proper.

You may want to re-explore that Get_Random_Player function. There is no need to be using a vector object the way you are there. You're attempting to pour a glass of tea by dumping pitcher A into pitcher B, then to your glass.

I told you over AIM, use an integer and iterate through the list itself.

Code: [Select]
GameObject* Get_Random_Player(int Team)
// Calculate team count, return error if no-one is on the team
int nTeamCount = Get_Team_Player_Count(Team);
if (NULL == PlayerList || nTeamCount <= 0) return NULL;

// Calculate random iteration step
int nCount = 0, nRand = Commands->Get_Random_Int(0,nTeamCount);
GenericSLNode *pIter = PlayerList->HeadNode;
while (NULL != pIter)
// Extract player from data, validate
cPlayer *pPlayer = (cPlayer*)pIter->NodeData;
bool bValid = (NULL != pPlayer && true == pPlayer->IsActive &&
(pPlayer->PlayerType.Get() == Team || 2 == Team));

// Advance step. Is this the one?
if (nCount < nRand || false == bValid)
// Increment the count if this player was valid
// This will make sure we get the Nth player on X team
if (true == bValid)

pIter = pIter->NodeNext;

// We got him
return (NULL != pPlayer->Owner.Reference ?
(GameObject*)pPlayer->Owner.Reference->obj :

// Could not find a player
return NULL;

A few pointers weren't being checked for validity in the aforementioned code. This may have led to your crash bug and explain why returning the ID (which isn't necessarily a bad design choice) of the player "solved" the crash bug.

Edit: It didn't dawn on me that you were wanting to get a random team player, so I tweaked the code to only advance the iteration count when the current player matches the requirements.
